Mapping Ipswich (Qld) Men's Support Services

This document was originally prepared as part of the course work requirements for Charles Sturt University (Wagga Wagga, NSW), Bachelor of Social Work degree, HCS303 – Professional Field Education 1.

Spiritus, Kinections Early Intervention Service of Ipswich, hosted the placement from June to October 2008. This placement was an indirect placement completed by way of this project.

The intention of this project was to map the available support services that exist for men in the Ipswich Local Government Area. It is intended that this project will consist of three components:

  • To map the available support services for men in the Ipswich Local Government Area;

  • To identify possible service gaps, based on the feedback of local human service workers;

  • Identify how workers stay up to date with relevant referral information.
